I like Obama a lot but this sentiment of accepting people with different positions working together has its limits.

if you want to take FUNDAMENTAL rights away from a minority you better have a damn good reason to do so, otherwise you're about as evil as evil can be.

Don't give me that homosexuality is an abomination bullshpit. A 2000 year old book does not determine what is moral. If it did, how much money will you all give me for my daughter, cause that book says its ok. And lets go stone to death some adulterers, its more than OK, its the WORD OF GOD!

What is immoral is that which HARMS OTHER PEOPLE. Gay marriage harms NO ONE. If you have your head up your butt far enough to still think that gay people corrupt children, I'd like you to look for some stories about child abuse, neglect, and murder, and see how often the perpetrators were hetero. (its quite a few)

The world is a messed up place, to the extreme. In other countries you can be killed for what you think. Its great that they can't (in the open anyway) do that here, but it DISGUSTS me that this country still has a huge portion of people restricting who can love who and acting like we must all lick the bibles ass. I mean this is the freaking new century. Its time we grew up and stopped believing in invisible all powerful men in the sky that make our sports teams win but won't prevent poverty, sickness, and rape.

So lets sum up the arguments against gay marriage:

1. Marriage has been defined as 1 man + 1 woman for thousands of years.
Retort: Slavery was ok for thousands of years too. Restricting peoples rights is always what the majority wants, and they often use "tradition" as a support.

2. Homosexuality is immoral.
Retort: firstly the government isn't there to dictate morality. Secondly, you're an idiot. It harms NO ONE. Religion should be immoral, it causes wars, death, hatred, ignorance, etc.

3. Its gross.
Retort: Don't marry or hump a dude, moron. Choice is a good thing unless you're a mindless zombie.

4. I agree with the parts of the bible that I agree with, the rest is out of date. So gays are wrong but slavery is wrong to.
Retort: You're a self righteous ignorant moron who makes humanity worse and you need to read a book on philosophy and science.

Anyone have any other reasons why this bullshpite law shouldn't be stricken down as unconstitutional in the most obvious of senses? Feel free to post, I'll try to be polite. (I'll probably fail if you're a moron)

On another note: It should be illegal to bring children to church. They're not of consenting age to have antiquated dementia shoved down their throats and it can easily be shown religion corrupts minds, causes violence, restrains progress, promotes discrimination and absurdity. Its a cancer of the soul that is only perpetuated by indoctrinating children with the threat of punishment if they don't do what you say.
